Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has accused BJP governments in the state of deliberately stalling projects initiated by the Congress party. Speaking at a gathering in Alwar district, Gehlot pointed to the Barmer refinery project as an example, stating that the project has incurred additional expenses due to the delay caused by the BJP administration.

Gehlot also mentioned the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP), which was started by former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. He stated that his government is continuing the project, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has yet to respond to his letters requesting the declaration of ERCP as a project of national importance.

The chief minister expressed his disappointment, claiming that whenever the BJP comes to power in the state, projects initiated by the Congress are halted. This alleged obstruction has not only caused delays but also led to increased costs for ongoing ventures.

During the event, Gehlot inaugurated the Mini Secretariat building in Alwar and assured the audience that whenever a new division is established, Alwar would be given priority. Recently, the state government announced the formation of three new divisions.

Gehlot expressed confidence that the people of Rajasthan would vote for the Congress government in the upcoming assembly election. He emphasized the employment opportunities created by his administration, asserting that Rajasthan is leading in job creation across the country. Furthermore, he highlighted the fact that his government did not impose any new taxes in the five budgets during his tenure.

The chief minister criticized the BJP, stating that the party’s true character and intentions have been revealed. He claimed that the Congress is a party that strives to unite all communities, while the BJP has created an atmosphere of tension and violence in the country.

Earlier, during a visit to an inflation relief camp in Tapukara, Gehlot reiterated his government’s commitment to providing relief to all sections of society. He emphasized that education and health are top priorities, with a significant portion of the state’s GDP allocated to healthcare.

Gehlot’s allegations of project stalling by BJP governments shed light on the ongoing political tussle between the two major parties in Rajasthan. As the state prepares for the upcoming assembly election, these accusations are likely to fuel further debate and scrutiny of the respective parties’ track records in governance and development.
