Cab driver allegedly stabs 18-year-old to death in Delhi fight

An 18-year-old laborer named Akash was tragically stabbed to death during a fight near Sarai Kale Khan in southeast Delhi. The alleged perpetrator, a cab driver named Rupesh Kumar, is still at large and police are actively searching for him.

According to reports, Kumar was driving his cab when he came across Akash and a group of individuals attacking a man. Kumar called the police and then intervened, which led to a fight between the two groups. During the altercation, Kumar allegedly stabbed Akash, causing him to sustain fatal injuries. After the incident, Kumar fled the scene and left his car behind, which was reportedly ransacked by locals.

A call was received by the police at 4:31 pm on Thursday, with the caller stating that his brother-in-law had been stabbed in the stomach. The police arrived at the scene and found Akash had been taken to AIIMS by his relatives, where he later passed away.

During their investigation, police found that Akash and three others were traveling from Gurudwara Bala Sahib towards Sarai Kale Khan when they got into an altercation with an unknown person and started beating him. It was at this point that Kumar intervened and the situation escalated, ultimately leading to Akash’s death.

A case of murder has been registered against Kumar at Sunlight Colony Police Station, and efforts are being made to locate him. This tragic incident highlights the importance of avoiding violence and seeking help from the authorities in such situations.
