Dia Mirza appeared as a background dancer in the song Jumbakala from the 1999 film En Swasa Khatre. Arvind Swamy and Isha Koppikar played the lead roles in this film. In this film, Dia Mirza was seen as the friend of the lead role in the film.

Money was needed to make a portfolio

Diya Mirza told in an interview to Times of India, ‘I worked as an extra artist in this song. This job earned me enough money to build my first portfolio. We shot this song at Ramoji Rao Film City. I had 4-5 friends there with me. We spent a good time there. Raju Sundaram was dancing. Mink was also a part of the song. It was a very special experience. We made good money there, so that we can come back and do what we want to do.
