Yogesh has made a plan to go from Mumbai to London. He will start his journey on May 1 from the Gateway of India. Yogesh is very fond of riding a bike. Till now he has gone on bike to different parts of the country.
People like to travel a lot. Especially, doing adventure even more. Some people go on a long tour by car, while some people pick up a bike and go on a journey of miles away alone. One such unique plan has been made by Yogesh Alekari.
Yogesh has decided to go from Mumbai to London by bike. He will travel 25000 kms across 24 countries and 3 continents. His journey will start on Maharashtra Day i.e. from 1st May and he will complete this journey in 100 days.
Yogesh had this plan in his mind for the last 4 years. He has earlier traveled by bike to the countries of Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar border, Vietnam, Cambodia. So they know that planning an international bike ride is not easy.
Different documents need to be collected while visiting each country. Own bike, bike passport, international driving license etc. are required. Yogesh says that I started the work of collecting all this a year back. During this I did not take a single day off. Yogesh told that he is expected to spend up to 30 lakhs for this journey.
While riding a bike, along with physical fitness, you also have to take care of the fitness of the bike. Various natural changes like sun, wind, rain, storm have to be faced. Food from different regions has to be eaten.
Yogesh is going to visit three continents Asia, Europe, Africa. It will leave from the Gateway of India in Mumbai on 1 May. Initially, he started trekking and bike riding in Gadkile, Maharashtra, after which he covered more than 1 lakh kilometers of bike riding in India.
