The National Centre for Seismology reported that the earthquake struck Nepal with its epicenter approximately 227 km north of Ayodhya and about 331 km northwest of Kathmandu. The seismic activity, registering 6.4 on the Richter Scale, occurred on Friday, November 3, at 11:32 PM. The epicenter was situated at Latitude 28.84 and Longitude 82.19, with a depth of 10 km within Nepal’s territory. Notably, this incident marks the third occurrence of significant earthquakes within Nepal in the past month.

In Delhi and its surrounding regions, the sudden tremors caused immediate panic and prompted residents to evacuate buildings. Ghaziabad witnessed residents fleeing structures as the tremors reverberated through Delhi-NCR earlier today. The seismic activity also rippled across Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Ayodhya, Lucknow, Varanasi, and other adjoining cities.

Inderjit Singh, a Gurugram resident, mentioned, “The tremors persisted for a considerable duration while we were watching television, disrupting our weekend leisure.” Gopal, a Ghaziabad resident, added that the tremors endured for over 15 seconds, significantly impacting the environment, evident from the rattling window panes.
