The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently celebrated the ninth anniversary of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this occasion, the BJP highlighted the achievements of the Modi government, emphasizing the remarkable progress made in all-round development and inclusive growth in India.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the government has dedicated itself to fostering development that is inclusive, progressive, and sustainable. The BJP president, J P Nadda, affirmed that India has witnessed significant advancements and inclusive growth during the nine years of the Modi government. He reiterated Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to strengthening India’s roots while equally prioritizing its growth and development.
At the event attended by senior BJP leaders and Union ministers, the party released a booklet that outlined the government’s focus on holistic development, leaving no one behind. The Modi government has embraced a culture of comprehensive progress, contrasting the earlier piece-meal approach. It has been steadfast in its commitment to creating equity and opportunities for all citizens.
The implementation of government schemes using the “JAM” trinity—Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and Mobile—has led to a paradigm shift in public service delivery. The government has effectively utilized technology and digital tools to ensure transparency, eliminate corruption, and plug leakages in governance. The introduction of direct benefit transfer (DBT) and Aadhaar authentication in welfare schemes has not only eliminated ghost beneficiaries but also resulted in substantial savings for the government, amounting to over Rs 2.73 lakh crore between 2015 and 2022.
The BJP also highlighted the successful initiatives launched by the Modi government, empowering every Indian. Programs such as MUDRA Yojana and Stand-Up India have created a large pool of young entrepreneurs from marginalized groups, with more than half of the 40 crore loans under MUDRA being granted to SC, ST, and OBC entrepreneurs. The government’s decision to provide reservation to economically weaker sections has provided crucial support to impoverished households.
Moreover, the BJP underscored the government’s commitment to recognizing India’s civilizational history and culture. Projects like the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, Mahakaal Lok in Ujjain, and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya exemplify the government’s efforts to preserve and honor India’s rich heritage.
Since assuming office, Prime Minister Modi has consistently prioritized putting “India first” in every policy formulation. The government has demonstrated its resolve in matters of external and internal security, economic management, empowerment schemes for marginalized groups, and cultural conservation.
As the NDA government completes nine years in power, it stands as a testament to India’s progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
