John Travolta and Katherine Heigl are set to ignite the silver screen with their on-screen chemistry in the upcoming romantic comedy “That’s Amore!” The film, helmed by director Nick Vallelonga, was announced by Palisades Park Pictures (PPP) on Thursday ahead of its sales launch at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Adding to the star-studded cast, Christopher Walken is currently in talks to join the project, raising anticipation among fans and industry insiders alike.

The official synopsis of the film unveils an endearing premise. Travolta portrays Nick Venere, a modern-day “Marty” who has never experienced the joys of marriage and believes that his best dating years are a distant memory. His character has never heard the words “I love you” and has all but given up hope of ever finding true love. On the other hand, Heigl plays Patty Amore, a shy and introverted woman burdened with various tics and nervous habits. Patty’s troubled past and her overprotective father have led her to retreat from the dating scene.

When Nick and Patty accidentally cross paths and feel an immediate connection, their emotionally scarred journey to romance begins. However, things take an uproarious turn when their families become entangled in their budding relationship, resulting in comedic chaos and heartwarming moments.

With production scheduled to commence in August, the film has assembled an exceptional team. Cinematographer Dante Spinotti, production designer Gianni Quaranta, editor Steven Rosenblum, and costume designer Betsy Heimann are among the talented crew members working alongside Vallelonga to bring this delightful story to life. Additionally, David Polemeni, Tamara Birkemoe, and Mark Damon are serving as executive producers, lending their expertise and support to the project.

PPP is set to introduce “That’s Amore!” to international buyers at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival, marking the film as the first title on their global sales banner’s slate. Tamara Birkemoe, the CEO of PPP, expressed her excitement about the film’s star power and its ability to captivate audiences with its romantic charm. She emphasized that the movie exemplifies the commitment of PPP to present high-quality films to buyers at upcoming film markets.

As fans eagerly anticipate the release of “That’s Amore!,” the combination of Travolta and Heigl, along with the potential addition of Christopher Walken, promises an unforgettable romantic comedy experience that will leave audiences both laughing and swooning.
