In a strong declaration, Punjab Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa emphasized his government’s commitment to the welfare of all sections of society and the initiation of a new era of development in the state. As the Minister for Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, Water Resources, and Water Supply & Sanitation, Jimpa outlined his plans for the conservation of groundwater and the implementation of rainwater harvesting projects on a larger scale. Furthermore, he expressed the government’s intention to explore the possibility of converting ordinary power pumps in water supply schemes to solar-powered pumps, thereby reducing the burden of power bills.
