West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asserted that her government remains committed to working for the welfare of the people while carrying along elected representatives from across the political spectrum, including the Leader of the Opposition (LoP). Stressing that development should transcend political affiliations, the Chief Minister said every legislator has a responsibility to work for the benefit of citizens and that the state government is committed to ensuring inclusive governance.
Speaking at a public programme, Banerjee emphasised that the government’s development initiatives are intended to benefit all regions of the state regardless of political representation. She reiterated that elected representatives, irrespective of party lines, should work together to address public concerns, improve infrastructure, and accelerate socio-economic development.
