Milestone Celebration & Strategic Growth
Established in 2015 under IIM Ahmedabad’s mentorship, IIM Nagpur began with just 60 students at a temporary campus. Now, with a sprawling MIHAN-SEZ campus inaugurated in 2021, it is a leading third-generation IIM. To mark this milestone, Director Dr. Bhimraya Metri unveiled a Coffee Table Book, inaugurated a pickleball court, and honored seven long-serving staffers. Also declared were upcoming Phase II and III infrastructure expansions—part of wider IIM Nagpur expansion initiatives.
Rs 227 Crore Infrastructure Expansion Plans
IIM Nagpur has initiated its ambitious Rs 227 crore expansion, covering 25,000 sq m in Phase II. This includes:
- 280‑room postgraduate hostel
- 100‑room executive hostel
- Classrooms, dining hall, and a new library
Once completed by December 2026, the capacity will rise to over 1,170 students, nearly doubling current intake. The project also features a 2 MW solar park and a golf academy, showcasing the institute’s commitment to sustainable learning and holistic development.
New Academic and Industry Collaborations
Ivey Publishing: A Case-Based Learning Boost
IIM Nagpur has partnered with Ivey Publishing, enabling it to launch a case centre—the third among IIMs. This collaboration will help faculty and partner institutes across India design and disseminate high-impact business case studies.
ACCA MoU: Global Finance & Accounting Exposure
A fresh MoU with ACCA India reinforces finance education through international certification tools, joint workshops, and faculty development—fostering global industry alignment for students and faculty alike.

This year, IIM Nagpur inducted 328 students into its MBA and PhD programmes. The MBA batch includes 203 professionals and 120 freshers hailing from 23 states. The institute’s reputation and high diversity reflect its fast-growth trajectory and rising acceptance rate via CAT and CAP .
NEP 2020 Compliance & Holistic Curriculum
