The newly constructed Raj Bhavan, designed with traditional Assamese architecture blended with modern facilities, will serve as the official residence of the Governor of Assam. The inauguration is expected to be attended by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, top BJP leaders, state cabinet members, and central officials.
“The new Raj Bhavan will reflect Assam’s rich culture and its emerging modern identity,” a senior government official said.

The new Raj Bhavan complex, situated in Dispur, has been built over 20 acres with eco-friendly features, smart conference rooms, and advanced security systems. The architecture also incorporates local design elements like the Jaapi, Gamosa, and Assamese motifs.
