Miss Teen International 2026 has a new winner, with Cuba’s Jhoanna Uranga taking the coveted crown at the grand finale in Jaipur. The international pageant brought together contestants from more than 30 countries, with Uranga emerging on top after a series of judged rounds. Her victory also marked a notable achievement for Cuba on the international pageant stage.
Jhoanna Uranga wins Miss Teen International 2026
Uranga was crowned at the grand finale held in Jaipur on August 30, succeeding Spain’s Lorena Ruiz, who held the title in 2025. The Cuban contestant impressed the judges through the competition’s various rounds, where participants were given opportunities to present themselves before the panel and audience.
The victory came after more than three years of preparation for Uranga. Speaking after the finale, she said the extensive work, preparation and classes she had undertaken had finally paid off.
Uranga described the win as one of her biggest dreams coming true. Her comments highlighted the long preparation involved in competing at an international pageant, where contestants face multiple stages of evaluation before the final result is announced.
Miss Teen International 2026 runner-up list
Namibia’s Chantel Boeren was named the first runner-up, while Paraguay’s Giuliana Ocariz secured the second runner-up position.
Andrea Almestica of the United States finished as the third runner-up, and Darelys Nico of the US Virgin Islands was named the fourth runner-up.
The final top-five standings were:

Cuba celebrates a major pageant achievement
Uranga’s win was particularly significant for Cuba. Miss Teen International owner Nikhil Anand congratulated the Cuban contestant after the finale and said the decision had been difficult because of the strong performances from the contestants.
Anand also described the result as Cuba’s first Miss International crown. He praised Uranga’s performance and said the Indian contestant had also come close to winning the title but missed the opportunity by a small margin.
The remarks underlined the competitive nature of the finale, where contestants from across the world were assessed before the final positions were decided.
Jaipur hosts global teen pageant
The 2026 edition was hosted in India, with the pageant programme running from August 22 to August 30 before the grand finale in Jaipur. The Rajasthan capital provided the setting for the final stage of the international competition.
The finale was judged by Miss Universe India 2026 Kezia Liz Mejo, Miss Teen International president Nikhil Anand and Miss India International 2026 Vaishnavi Ganesh. Their panel evaluated the contestants during the final stages of the event.
The official voting portal separately featured an “Eventista Miss Popular” category. The popular-vote category was distinct from the main pageant title, with the contestant receiving the highest voting points earning the popular title and direct entry into the Top 8.
A new chapter for Jhoanna Uranga
With her victory, Uranga now takes on the role previously held by Lorena Ruiz of Spain. The Cuban winner’s journey from more than three years of preparation to the Jaipur finale has placed her at the centre of the 2026 pageant season.
Her win also adds another international milestone to the event, which brought together young contestants from more than 30 countries. As the new titleholder, Uranga will now represent the Miss Teen International brand following her breakthrough victory in Jaipur.
The Jaipur finale ended with Cuba at the top of an international field, while contestants from Namibia, Paraguay, the United States and the US Virgin Islands completed the top five. For Uranga, the crown represents the result of years of preparation and a long-held ambition finally achieved on the global stage.
