The concert began around 8 pm and ended at about 9.30 pm, leaving the audience singing, dancing and cheering along.

He opened the performance with Vaaste, inviting the audience to sing along. The response was immediate. Students joined in with familiar lines, setting the tone for a concert that moved between upbeat tracks and more intimate musical moments.
The performance also highlighted how deeply D’Souza’s voice is connected with popular Hindi film music. Several songs in his set were instantly recognised by the crowd, even by listeners who may not always know the singer behind them.
A nostalgic evening of Bollywood favourites
One of the most memorable moments came when D’Souza asked the audience whether they remembered his first song. After offering a few clues, he revealed that he was referring to Shaam from the 2010 film Aisha.
The song prompted a strong response from the audience. Students sang along and swayed to the melody, turning the performance into a shared nostalgic moment. The song, released more than a decade ago, remains familiar to a generation that grew up listening to Bollywood music.
The set also included Mere Bina from Crook, another song that has remained popular since its release. During this performance, the atmosphere at the cricket ground became noticeably quieter as students hummed along.

He was featured at Techniche 2022, IIT Guwahati’s annual techno-management festival, where he performed during the festival’s cultural events.

Beyond the songs and production, the concert offered a reminder of the lasting appeal of familiar Bollywood music. D’Souza’s performance connected songs from different periods of his career with a young audience that knew many of them word for word.

As the concert ended around 9.30 pm, D’Souza said goodbye and the crowd began to disperse. Yet the evening had already left its mark, with the cricket ground having hosted a mix of nostalgia, energy and live music.
