Operation Dawn 2.0 forms part of broader efforts by law enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking and substance abuse in Arunachal Pradesh.

Police officials stated that the campaign focuses on intelligence gathering, surprise checking operations, and stronger coordination between different enforcement units.

Authorities have increased surveillance activities in several districts due to concerns regarding the growing movement of narcotic substances through parts of the Northeast.

Officials noted that drug trafficking networks often use passenger vehicles and interstate routes for transportation. Therefore, naka-checking operations remain an important enforcement strategy.

Police stated that Operation Dawn 2.0 aims not only to arrest traffickers but also to disrupt supply chains linked to illegal narcotics trade.

Officials stated that police units across the state regularly conduct checking drives, surveillance operations, and awareness campaigns. Authorities believe both enforcement and public awareness are necessary to address the issue effectively.

Police have repeatedly urged citizens to cooperate with authorities by sharing information related to suspected drug trafficking activities.

According to officials, intelligence provided by local residents often plays a crucial role in successful operations. Therefore, the administration continues encouraging community participation in anti-drug initiatives.

Observers noted that northeastern states face unique challenges due to their geographical location and connectivity routes, which traffickers sometimes exploit for smuggling activities.

Law enforcement agencies have increased coordination with neighbouring states and central agencies to strengthen monitoring systems and intelligence sharing.

Investigation Underway

Police officials stated that investigators are currently examining the background of the accused and possible connections to larger trafficking networks.

Authorities may question additional individuals as part of the investigation to determine whether others were involved in the transportation of the seized substances.

The accused is expected to face legal action under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Police have not ruled out the possibility of further arrests in connection with the case.

Authorities Stress Importance Of Public Cooperation

Officials stressed that public cooperation remains essential in combating drug trafficking and substance abuse. Police representatives urged citizens to remain alert and report suspicious activities related to narcotics movement.
