During the search, security personnel recovered a .32 calibre pistol fitted with a magazine containing five live rounds. They also seized cash amounting to Rs 1 lakh from the accused.
In another operation, an active cadre of the outlawed Kangleipak Communist Party (People’s War Group), or KCP (PWG), was apprehended from Wangjing Bazar in Thoubal district. Police officials said investigations are underway to determine the militant’s role in insurgent activities and establish links with other members of the organisation.
