The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has categorically rejected this vision, labeling it as an “unrealistic and divisive political stunt.” Assam BJP President, Bhabesh Kalita, addressed media in Guwahati, stating that no land in Assam will be allowed to be claimed based on religious or ethnic identity.
