Tripura’s popular Neermahal Water Festival will return to Melaghar with a three-day celebration from October 7 to 9. The annual event will bring together cultural programmes, traditional sports and tourism activities around the historic Neermahal palace and Rudrasagar Lake in Sepahijala district.
Officials confirmed the dates during a preparatory meeting held at the Melaghar Municipal Council conference hall on September 24. Higher Education Minister Kishor Barman chaired the meeting, which was attended by representatives of several government departments and elected representatives.
Three-day festival from October 7
The Neermahal Water Festival 2026 will run for three days from October 7 to 9. Organisers are preparing a programme that combines Tripura’s traditional culture with water-based and sporting activities.
